The internet sucks butt and it will always go out during an exam. My professor had to give us her hotspot once. I doubt they have plans to change the wifi.

A good school for a niche group of people. The school has good education and is great overall especially if you can get a scholarship. The school is on the rise with new programs. Though there is not a ton of social events and the school is very small. You need to be proactive in the education and social atmosphere or you will be left behind.

They fixed the internet it seems, the dining hall is over capacity at peak hours, sometimes no seating. don't take flight its full of what others say. there are ample opportunities to participate in research as an undergraduate as long as you are good enough to make it. Dont get a low paying degree here unless you have good scholarships/grants.

I am 50/50 with FIT. I am about to be a sophom*ore, so I've had around a year with Florida Tech. Some of the professors teach well, and some do not. There are a ton of resources that will help you succeed, but you have to reach out promptly. This school relies on homework and tests. Lectures are, at times, lackluster. Also, internet is terrible.

Great for cybersecurity dont go without a scholarship too small for its student population research oppurtunities great for those who want defense contracting connections do not go for flight as hours are very difficult to get good for CS or SE poor uptime for internet (being renovated during 2023)

Currently studying Astrophysics. Grading is insanely difficult, you're GPA is probably going to be a 3.2 at the highest here. Great opportunities and a almost guaranteed job afterwards but very challenging courses.

They expect 40k+ a year for a curriculum. The professors do not actually teach the class, they just assign work. The graduate students that run the labs are pretty good, but even with them you can get one that doesn't want to be there, assuming you have a one. Even if you get a full ride scholarship, carefully weigh your options before attending.

If you are a parent paying for your students school and they do not have a full ride DO NOT GO HERE.The professors have 3 primary roles - counselor, teacher, and researcher.THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE COUNSELORS OR TEACHERS. They put 0 effort in. They grade as harshly as they can while putting in little effort to actually teach.

The school is alright I guess, but the professors are absolutely horrible. Most of them are geniuses who know their subject, but are absolutely incapable of teaching that subject to other people. Most faculty are hard to reach, and if you do reach them, they're extremely rude, with the exception of security. Security is great.

IT IS A TECH SCHOOL. Most boring place on earth, it does NOT feel like "home" lol. School squeezes $ out of everyone and people are rude. All they care about is $$ but does have good internships in the area. If ur a normal person, don't choose this school lol

I personally love it here. There’s so much to get involved in and the people are great. Staff is kind and helpful with everything. The location is great and downtown is the vibe most nights. Alot of people say there’s no activity because of lack of frat parties but if you’re open to trying new things it’s really not that big a deal.

Internet has recently improved, faculty are all smart but none know how to teach. Social life is all about how much you get out of your room and do something. I would really recommend Greek life here, it is a lot better than at other schools and you will find people who drive you to be better and great friends.

The teachers could stop trying to actively fail students just because they feel like it's their duty to. I have put nothing but effort and time into my studies and yet I can't succeed. I hate it here, it's nothing but work, there's no student life and you will hate life here.
