Suddenly my feed is full of windows kernel experts, product experts and cybersecurity experts. These folks will be just waiting for something to happen so that they get their content and explain how they would have done it better.I believe even the biggest systems fail at times, catastrophes do happen and lessons are learned on the way. As a parent, here are some important questions that I ask myself when I see the rapid rise of AI-generated influencers online.✅ Background Information:Since the early 2010s, we started seeing virtual personalities achieve some level of stardom on social media.Now, we are seeing a rapid rise in entirely virtual and AI-generated influencers on social media.Some have become online celebrities as you can see in this article that I'm sharing with you.They look very realistic and have distinct personalities of their own.You can find them on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and more.✅ How this can affect us:I can think of many scenarios where it can be quite interesting to develop an AI influencer, particularly in sales and marketing, entertainment, or to act as a virtual ambassador.However, what if you have bad actors creating fake influencers targeting teenagers, the elderly, vulnerable classes of people, or the general population who may fall victim to a well-orchestrated scam?✅ How do we educate our kids?When I was a kid, my parents used to tell me not to speak to strangers on the streets.Ok, check.Now, what should we do with "strangers" and even "fake people" our children may engage with online?
